Washington Sate delegation led by Lt. Governor Brad Owen arrived in Bangkok on April 22-25 for trade and goodwill mission. The mission is to expand upon the ties between Washington State and Thailand, strengthen the existing relationships and build new ones with a goal to further trade, cultural and economic development links. The delegation comprised of both business executives and about 10 legislators in leadership positions.
US-Thailand Business Council, and its counterpart, Thailand-US Business Council, assisted the delegation in their travel logistics and organizing the luncheon for the delegates to meet with Thai business executives as well as Thai government officials. The luncheon was co-sponsored by Port of Tacoma and Port of Seattle, held on April 22, 2004
